As I see somebody, including Yusuf in LAB2-8.2" use "default route policy" at the end of route-map for PBR. Yusuf has following explanation:
"...This is similar to a default policy that matches all other traffic to pass through uninterrupted. A route-map configuration model has no default policy. Therefore, you need to explicitly configure the second route-map to mimic default policy, allowing all remaining traffic...."
But as I know, if route maps are applied in a policy-routing environment, packets that do not meet the match criteria are then forwarded according to the route table.
So has empty permit statement in PBR route-map any value? or it is only some habit?
