In the log:

what does it mean:
faddr?
gaddr?
laddr?

ICMP connection for
faddr =icmp_seq_num
gaddr = cmp_type
laddr = i dont know

gaddr - Global Address
laddr - Local Address
faddr - not sure, I always think of it as "foreign"
